Wadil-husen Mosque |

Wadil-husen Mosque or Taloh-manoh Mosque (300 year-old mosque)

Ancient and beautiful islamic place of worship which is known as the 300 year-old mosque, it is now probably entering its 400th year. It was built by Van Husen As-Zanawi, an immigrant from Pattani. Back to the year 2167 BE, originally there was only a thatched roof. When the time changed, the clay tiles were brought to cover instead. The distinctiveness makes this mosque look more beautiful differently from other general mosques because it was combined the shape of a Thai traditional building architecture with Chinese and Malay architecture. Both buildings were made of Takhian wood next to each other by using the wooden peg technique instead of nails. It’s not all of it, more remarkable is that above the roof there was a base to support the roof gable on the first floor. The minaret looks like a Chinese pavilion settled on the back part of the roof, while the window is made of a whole sheet of wood. There was a carved pattern in the air vent as in the shape of leaves, flowers, interspersed with Chinese patterns.
