Local ancient house in Phatthalung (Rulers Old Palaces, Chapter: 1)

Phatthalung, the old city during the Krungsri Ayutthaya Era, the culture, traditions, the story, archaeological sites, religious sites, architecture, and local ancient houses that are worth preserving for a long time. It is a glorified inheritance belonging to “Muang Lung”.

The Fine Arts Department has announced the registration of ancient monuments to be a national archaeological site, such as the Phatthalung Ruler’s Palace, which consists of the “Old Palace” and “New Palace”, It was local ancient houses in Phatthalung. In the past, this palace used to be a government office and the residence of the governor of Phatthalung. It was outstanding beauty. Nowadays, it is now considered as an important historical attraction with buildings, architecture, and beautiful local ancient houses, and also is an uniqueness of Phatthalung.

Rulers Old Palaces is currently open for tourists and people to visit on official days for promoting, developing, and creating  economy and society valuable as a publishing center and providing information on religion, art, and culture. Community is proud that conservation and development are invaluable as being a learning resource center with tourism further.
